Quran Learning with Islamic Studies Online for Kids and Adults
Your child recites Surah Al-Fatiha every day in Salah. But do they know what they are saying? Most children in the USA learn to read the Quran without understanding its message, its obligations, or the faith behind the words. Our Quran Learning with Islamic Studies course changes that covering Aqeedah, Seerah, Akhlaq, daily duas, and more. The Quran and Islamic Studies for Kids are taught together, not as two separate subjects, but as one connected conversation between your child and their deen.

Course Outline
Our Islamic classes for kids online are structured around six core areas of Islamic knowledge each one taught in direct connection with the Quran lessons your child is already taking. Nothing is taught in isolation. Everything connects.
Module 01 — Aqeedah (Islamic Belief)
Aqeedah is the foundation of everything. Before a child can practice Islam, they need to understand what they believe and why. This module covers the six pillars of Iman with clarity and depth.
Topics include:
Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) — Who Allah is, His names and attributes, and why associating partners with Him is the gravest error. Example: Why Muslims say “Alhamdulillah” in good times and bad — because all comes from Allah alone.
The Six Pillars of Iman — Belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His prophets, the Day of Judgement, and Qadr (divine decree). Example: A child learns that believing in Qadr means trusting Allah’s plan even when something feels unfair.
Shirk & Its Dangers — What weakens or breaks Iman, explained age-appropriately with real-life scenarios a child growing up in the West can recognize.
Module 02 — Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence — Worship in Practice)
Fiqh is where belief becomes action. Muslim kids Islamic classes online often skip the depth of this subject. At Beacon, it is taught practically — so children know not just what to do, but how and why.
Topics include:
Taharah (Purification) — The importance of cleanliness in Islam, how to perform Wudu correctly, and what invalidates it. Example: A child learns that touching something impure requires specific steps before Salah — not just rinsing hands.
Salah (Prayer) — The five daily prayers, their times, the steps, the meanings of each position, and the duas recited within them. Example: Why we say “Allahu Akbar” when moving — transitioning our attention fully to Allah.
Sawm (Fasting) — The rules and wisdom of Ramadan fasting, Suhoor, Iftar, and what breaks the fast. Example: Understanding that fasting is not just hunger — it is training the soul.
Zakah & Sadaqah — The obligation of giving, the difference between Zakah and voluntary charity, and why generosity is central to Muslim character.
Hajj — An introduction to the pilgrimage, its pillars, and its profound spiritual significance in a Muslim’s life.
Module 03 — Seerah (Life of the Prophet ﷺ)
The Prophet ﷺ is not just a historical figure — he is the living example of the Quran. This module brings his life to children in a way that makes them love him, understand his decisions, and want to follow his character.
Topics include:
Birth & Early Life — The Arabia he was born into, his childhood, his reputation as Al-Ameen (the trustworthy), and the early signs of his prophethood.
The Revelation & First Muslims — How the first ayahs were revealed, the reaction of Khadijah رضي الله عنها, and who the first believers were.
Challenges & Persecution in Makkah — How the early Muslims were tested and what kept them firm. Example: The story of Bilal رضي الله عنه teaches children that faith is stronger than any pressure.
The Hijrah & Madinah Period — The migration to Madinah, building the first Muslim community, and the lessons of brotherhood between the Ansar and Muhajireen.
Character of the Prophet ﷺ (Shama’il) — His manners with family, neighbors, enemies, and children. Example: How he ﷺ never raised his voice at home — a direct lesson in Islamic character for every child.
Module 04 — Akhlaq (Islamic Character & Manners)
A child who memorizes rules but lacks character has missed the point of Islamic education. This module shapes how your child speaks, behaves, and treats every person they encounter.
Topics include:
Sidq (Truthfulness) — Why honesty is the foundation of Muslim identity, with examples from the life of the Prophet ﷺ and practical scenarios from school life.
Respect for Parents — The Quranic obligation of kindness to parents, what it looks like in daily interactions, and why it ranks just below Tawheed in importance.
Kindness to Neighbors & Non-Muslims — How Islam commands respect and fairness toward all people, not just Muslims.
Controlling Anger — The prophetic advice on managing emotions, with age-appropriate techniques a child can actually apply.
Gratitude (Shukr) — Recognizing Allah’s blessings in everyday moments and expressing them through words and actions.
Module 05 — Hadith & Sunnah
Selected authentic Ahadith are introduced across the course — not as a standalone memorization exercise, but as direct guidance your child can apply in daily life.
Topics include:
Hadith of Intentions (Niyyah) — “Actions are by intentions.” Example: A child learns that the same action — giving money — carries different weight depending on why it was done.
Hadith on Kindness — “He who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.” Example: Applied to how a child treats younger siblings or classmates at school.
Hadith on Cleanliness — “Cleanliness is half of faith.” Directly connected to the Taharah lessons in Fiqh.
Module 06 — Duas & Adhkar (Daily Remembrance)
Quran lessons for kids online at Beacon do not end when the session closes. Through this module, children carry what they learn into every part of their day.
Topics include:
Morning & Evening Adhkar — The duas the Prophet ﷺ recited upon waking, before sleeping, and at key moments throughout the day.
Duas for Daily Situations — Before eating, entering the home, leaving the masjid, during difficulty, and before study. Example: A child who says “Bismillah” before eating understands it is not a ritual — it is a declaration.
Duas of the Quran — Selected supplications from the Quran itself, including Rabbana duas from Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran, taught with their meanings.
Every module in this course is taught in clear English, age-appropriately, and directly connected to the Quran your child reads in the same session so knowledge builds on knowledge, and faith builds on faith.
